James Nachtwey: War Photographer

IN THIS SCENE: James philosophizes on photography's importance and responsibility to humanity.

"Why photograph war? Is it possible to put an end to human behavior which has existed throughout history by means of photography? The proportions of that notion seem ridiculously out of balance yet that very idea has motivated me." - James Nachtwey

'Twitter' Could Become Terrorist Tool

Well leave it to the folks at Fox News to scare the crap out of old people. Fox has reported on how the social web site Twitter can be used as Terrorist tool. Be sure to add that to the list of other tools such as: fingernail clippers, shampoo and water bottles, Sony Playstations and matches.

Canon G10 gets reviewed, looks pretty sweet.

"The Powershot G10 is the latest version of Canon's most capable, serious and expensive compact camera. The G10 has a wealth of features that will appeal to the DSLR owner looking for a backup compact, or the enthusiast who wants DSLR functionality without the added bulk. At first glance the Canon G10 looks very similar to its popular predecessor, the G9, but as with that model, there are a number of key external and internal changes underneath the serious matt black exterior." click here for the full review.

Flikr

019_untitled
we all had issues iin class posting from Flickr yesterday in class. I went home and I think I have figured it out. So here is what I did:
1. In Flickr I clicked on Share then copied the embedded content
2. In Bloger I created a new post and then selected "edit Html" rather than Compose.
3. I then pasted the embedded content.
4. Switched back to "Compose" and whola my image appeared.
Hopefully this will work for all of you as well.

More Le Flash

This weekend we had another meeting about our video project that will part of the Le Flash project taking place next week. After running into numerous problems we've had to scrap the billboard idea (see previous post) and instead we've decided to build a projection screen. Our plan is to build the screen atop of the incline in the parking lot. Above is a photo of where the screen will be going. For more about Le Flash check out Art Relish's article about the event.

Early

I don't see many sunrises (outside of camping or waking up for a flight) but the sunrise in Atlanta sure is purdy like.

Le Flash

I'm currently planning to assist on projecting a live feed video of the Castleberry Hill Art stroll. This is a collaboration project that if pulled off successfully should be a great addition to the art strolls that take place every 4th Friday in Castleberry Hill.
